![]() ![]() Hopefully, there will be an update with a fix to this issue, because the feature sounds like a good one.īottom line, Tune Sweeper 4 did help clean up some of the mess in my iTunes library. ![]() This is the first program I've had crash on the new computer, so I don't think the issue lies there. I have no idea how this would work, or how well it would work. Unfortunately, it never got that far.Įach time I ran the Not in iTunes feature, it crashed. At least, that's what it's supposed to do. This feature will search the computer to find music currently not in the iTunes library and will allow you to put that music into iTunes. Based on the time I've had the computer, though, I'd say Tune Sweeper's statistics were accurate.įinally, I moved on to Not in iTunes. I'll blame that one on getting a new computer with new iTunes software, and not on Tune Sweeper. I suspect the move to the new computer skewed the statistics a bit, and Tune Sweeper was basing its graphs off data in the current iTunes, not the overall library history. I do love the band's music, but it isn't my favorite group. I apparently listen to a lot of Coldplay. Again, I think the issue is the lack of the song in the database. We'll come back to that one.įix Track Info did as it advertised on several tracks, but it missed working on quite a few others. I went through my library a while back and cleared out all those tracks with the little exclamation point that showed the tracks' files were missing. Missing Tracks came up empty, but that didn't surprise me. It may be the Tune Sweeper database doesn't have those older songs or albums anymore, therefore doesn't have the artwork. I noticed many of the songs that came up empty were from CDs I had imported years ago that may be out of print now. ![]() Again, the program didn't find all of the missing artwork. Unfortunately, it didn't get all of my duplicate tracks. I ended up deleting more than 100 duplicate tracks. The software let me preview the original track and the one slated for removal, just to be sure I was deleting the right ones. Duplicates scans for identical songs by track name, track number and the length of time. The program starts by loading the iTunes library, then opening up its user-friendly interface.
